Eating disorders in childhood and adolescence
Abstract
There is a wider range of eating disorders in childhood and adolescence than is commonly realized, and these are frequently either not recognized or misdiagnosed. Aetiology is invariably multifactorial and the potential for significant physical complications is high. Treatment should always take into account physical, psychological and social factors. Referral for specialist help is often necessary.
