The neuropathic bladder of childhood

Abstract 

The neuropathic bladder is an important condition to be aware of in childhood as prompt recognition and treatment improves prognosis, and may prevent children entering end-stage renal failure. This review article focuses on the neuro-pathophysiology of the lower urinary tract, the methods of diagnosing the neuropathic bladder, and treatment strategies that are currently available.
