Decision making in paediatric brain tumours: A neurosurgical perspective

Summary 

The aim of this article is to examine the decision-making process in the management of childhood brain tumours. This paper is based on a review of recent publications and on the author's personal experience. It evaluates the process involved in the neurosurgical management of this condition, which involves a multidisciplinary approach to management. The paper does not review the pathology, histology or varying results of the final treatment, but concentrates on the symptoms and clinical presentation of children at different stages of their illness.
