Management of tracheostomy

Summary 

Tracheostomy is a procedure that was known before the birth of Christ. The mortality and morbidity associated with paediatric tracheostomy is higher than adults. The changing indications, surgical procedure, types of tubes and various aspects of management of paediatric tracheostomies are discussed.
