‘Dear Doctor…’ Developing clinical reasoning

Abstract 

The second in a series to help the newly arrived trainee improve their clinical reasoning skills and better structure the clinical method to analyse and manage common clinical problems. The first article in the series (Current Paediatrics 1998; 8: 200–202), should be consulted for familiarization with the scheme. It must be emphasized that the management plans provided are not the gold standard — only the author's personal approach. The emphasis is more on the sequences of clinical thinking.
